Athlete sprinting on a curved treadmill with a high knee drive while a coach spots at the rail

Track & Field · Max velocity, acceleration, jumps

At top speed we want to strike down close to underneath the hips and apply a large amount of force in a very short ground contact. Tall hips, stiff ankle, strike down, bounce off. We coach it, load it and time it.

What track & field athletes need

01

Acceleration

Drive phase mechanics and the strength to produce force early.

02

Max velocity

Short, fast sprints that raise the speed ceiling instead of grinding it down.

03

Jumps & throws

Explosive strength for the field events, coached for transfer.

We test:✓ 10/20/40 yard sprint✓ Top speed (mph)✓ Standing & broad jump✓ Strength baseline

Training at Batti

Explosive strength for the field events, coached for transfer.

The Batti method

You will always know where your athlete started, what the plan is, and whether it’s working.

  1. Step 01Assess

Free athletic assessment. We dive into the athlete's goals, then baseline speed, strength, power and acceleration. We review every number with you and lay out the path.

  2. Step 02Build

A plan built around the athlete's sport, position, goals and the gaps we found. Coached sessions, not workouts. Strength with transfer, speed with mechanics, jumps with intent.

  3. Step 03Retest

Every block ends on the timing gates and the jump mat. +1 mph to your speed and +4" to your vertical, or you train free until you get it.

Questions

Will this actually transfer to track?
Yes. Sports are speed and power dominant. Assuming the athlete understands the game and is proficient at their position, the faster, stronger, more powerful athlete wins. We test the numbers on day one and retest so you can see the transfer for yourself.
Can my athlete train during the season?
They should. In-season training is simple: keep what you earned. Shorter, lower-volume sessions with isometrics and explosive work keep speed and power from fading by week four while we manage fatigue and recovery.
What happens at the assessment?
We talk through the athlete's goals, then baseline speed, strength, power and acceleration. We review every number with you and lay out the training path. It's free, and there's no obligation to continue.

The assessment is free. The numbers are yours going forward.
